Text files and PDFs have their text extracted and summarized. Images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF) are sent to a vision-capable model. Extraction is best-effort, so heavily scanned or image-only PDFs may summarize less completely.

Is my document private?

It's handled the same as any email content — passed to your own AI provider with your own key, never used as instructions, and your keys are encrypted at rest. Airbox treats attachment text as untrusted content, never as commands.
